KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 22

Himalayan Hideaway Resort Pokhara, part of The Centara Collection, is set to open on January 1, 2026, becoming the first Thai luxury hotel brand to operate in Pokhara.

Located in the hills of Kaskikot, about 35 minutes from Pokhara city, the resort offers panoramic views of the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre, combining Thai-inspired hospitality with local design and mountain surroundings. With the opening, Centara Hotels & Resorts further expands its presence in Nepal's growing hospitality sector.

The resort features 42 rooms, suites and villas, designed with wooden interiors, open skylights, private gardens or balconies, and views of the surrounding hills. Facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, bar and lounge, outdoor swimming pool, gym, a Pan-Asian specialty restaurant, a tea house, and a wellness spa operated under Cense by SPA Cenvaree.

Guests will also have access to curated outdoor and cultural experiences, including paragliding over Phewa Lake, trekking routes such as Annapurna Base Camp, village walks along the Sarangkot Loop Trail, and yoga and wellness programmes.

To mark its launch, the resort has announced a special opening package of Rs 25,000 nett per night on a bed-and-breakfast basis for Nepali guests, valid until March 31, 2026, along with discounts on food and spa services.

"We are excited to introduce The Centara Collection to Pokhara, a destination known for its natural beauty and cultural richness," said Prapaijit Thongma, General Manager of the resort, adding that the property aims to offer an experience beyond the traditional lakeside stay.

The resort said it also follows a social enterprise approach, with a focus on supporting local livelihoods and contributing to community development in the region.
