Esewa Money Transfer organized a special program to handover a house as bumper prize to Purna Bahadur Shrestha, winner of Mero Digital Desh initiative.

Esewa Money Transfer had earlier announced the final winner of the much-anticipated Mero Digital Desh campaign, amidst a formal program in the presence of media personalities, celebrities, and the company team. Shrestha, residing in UAE, was selected as the bumper prize winner through a digital lucky draw. He won a brand new two-and-a-half-storied house built on an area of 3 Ana in Imadol, Bojepokhari, Ward No. 4, Mahalakshmi Municipality, Lalitpur. Shrestha had sent money from UAE to the bank account of his father.

The announcement was broadcasted live in its official Facebook and TikTok pages.

Shrestha expressed his overwhelming happiness and gratitude for being chosen as the winner. Having dedicated the past 8 years of his life to working diligently in UAE to provide a better life for his family, Shrestha said that winning the brand-new house, as a bumper prize came as a complete surprise and felt like a miracle to him. He extended his heartfelt appreciation to Esewa Money Transfer for making his dream come true, and expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in the initiative. Speaking at the event, Shrestha shared, "I just could not believe it, I thought it was a prank call. I spoke with my family back home and found out that my name was declared in the Facebook Live". He added, "I had always wanted to build a house in Kathmandu and it had always been a lifelong aspiration, I feel extremely lucky to have been selected as the winner".

Mero Digital Desh campaign was initiated 8 months ago on September 23, 2022, with the motive to promote formal remittances backed by the seamless digital medium. As part of this initiative, monthly winners were chosen among Nepalese residing in different parts of the world who were sending remittances digitally using Esewa Money Transfer to the Bank Account or eSewa Wallet of the beneficiary.

During the live press conference, Daniel D Shrestha, Group Strategy Director of F1 Soft Group, expressed his gratitude towards the bumper prize winner Purna Bahadur Shrestha, and stated that Esewa Money Transfer, part of F1soft Group is dedicated to making remittances seamless through digitization.
