The gold price, which had reached unprecedented heights on Wednesday in the domestic market, declined by Rs 2,000 per tola on Friday.
After setting a new record at Rs 149,800 per tola on Wednesday, the gold price dropped by Rs 300 per tola on Thursday to Rs 149,500 per tola. The decline continued on Friday, with a significant drop in prices.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 147,500 per tola today, marking a sharp decline.
Similarly, tejabi gold is being traded at Rs 146,800 per tola, compared to Rs 148,800 per tola on Thursday.
Along with the decline in gold prices, the silver market also witnessed a drop on Friday. The silver price fell by Rs 30 per tola, reaching Rs 1,830 per tola on Friday from Rs 1,860 per tola on Thursday.
