Silver Also Sees Sharp Rise in Domestic Market

The price of gold surged by Rs 2,400 per tola on Monday to reach a new record high of Rs 240,400 per tola in the domestic market.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of fine gold has been steadily increasing since the market reopened after the Dashain holidays.
Before the holidays, on Asoj 12, fine gold was traded at Rs 223,200 per tola. When trading resumed on Asoj 19, it opened at Rs 230,600 per tola.
With today's increase, the price of gold has risen by a total of Rs 17,200 per tola in less than two weeks.
On Sunday, the yellow metal was traded at Rs 238,000 per tola.
Silver prices have also seen a notable jump, climbing by Rs 95 per tola today to reach Rs 3,220 per tola, up from Rs 3,125 per tola on Sunday.
Overall, silver has gained Rs 290 per tola since the reopening of the market after Dashain.
