NATTA’s suggestion

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NAT- TA) has requested Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Mohan Krishna Sapkota to strengthen Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) during a meeting held on Thursday.

Submitting a 13-point suggestion to the newly appointed tourism secretary, NATTA stressed on strengthening NAC to attract more tourists in the country.

The representatives further requested Sapkota to bring concrete plans and programmes to operate the two new Airbus A330-200 wide-body aircraft. As NAC is currently facing a loss NATTA urged Sapkota to support NAC to overcome the challenges.

They have also asked him to add more aircraft to NAC’s fleet. Similarly, NATTA has stressed on creating a tourist-friendly environment and building infrastructure.

Besides, NATTA also suggested the secretary to make the exchange of US dollars easier for tourists travelling to Tibet, Mansarovar Kailash and Bhutan via land route of Nepal.
