The government has raised the prices of petrol, diesel, and kerosene.
Nepal Oil Corporation announced on Tuesday that, effective from 1 AM on Wednesday, the price of petrol will increase by NPR 1 per liter, while the prices of diesel and kerosene will rise by NPR 4 per liter.
The corporation has set these new prices based on the price list provided by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
These new prices will apply across various regions of the country. The corporation has classified the pricing for petroleum products into three categories.
The first category includes areas such as Biratnagar, Birgunj, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhawani, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi.
In this category, the price of petrol will now be NPR 156.50 per liter, while diesel and kerosene will cost NPR 148.50 per liter.
The second category encompasses the Surkhet and Dang regions. Here, the price of petrol will now be NPR 158 per liter, while diesel and kerosene will be priced at NPR 150 per liter.
The third category includes Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal.
In this region, the price of petrol will now be NPR 159 per liter, while diesel and kerosene will cost NPR 151 per liter.
