Kathmandu, May 10:

Sandesh Pathak has won one million rupees (net of tax) cash prize under the Millionaire Deposit Scheme (MDS) of Himalayan Bank Ltd (HBL).

The winner was announced through a lucky draw held at HBL - Head Office, Thamel today. Pathak with a receipt No 1016257 is the fourth winner of the scheme, states a press release.

In addition to this, three lucky winners of anniversary special prizes of Rs 100,000 (net of tax)

and usual 15 consolation prize winners were also declared at the programme. The bank also announced 19 prizes worth more than Rs 1.83 million.

The main feature of the product is that customers can participate in the scheme and be eligible for different prizes from among the total 16 prizes, which are declared every quarter against fixed deposit of Rs 25,000 for a tenure of six months.

Considering the eagerness and interest of Nepalis working abroad, HBL has tied up its remittance service - HimalRemit with the scheme through which customers living abroad can also participate in the quarterly lucky draw, adds the release.
