KATHMANDU, AUGUST 22

Samsung on Thursday awarded certificates to 56 students from Pulchowk Campus, Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering, who completed the third batch of its Coding & Programming course under the company's flagship CSR initiative, Samsung Innovation Campus.

The certificates were handed over at a special ceremony attended by Tribhuvan University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Deepak Aryal, Pulchowk Campus Chief Dr. Sanjaya Uprety, and Institute of Engineering Dean Dr. Sushil B. Bajracharya.

"We aim to strengthen training in AI, Big Data, and IoT, and help make students job-ready for tomorrow's opportunities," said Jayanta Mani Kayasth, HR Manager of Samsung Nepal.

Launched in December 2022, Samsung Innovation Campus provides training in AI, IoT, Big Data, and Coding & Programming. Students are selected through a competitive process assessing their knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and programming.

Dr. Bajracharya said the program has been "highly appreciated" by the university and highlighted plans to broaden future-tech learning opportunities.

In addition to technical expertise, students also receive soft skills training to boost employability, problem-solving, and creativity. They also work on projects with social impact, applying technology to real-world challenges.
