KATHMANDU: Smart Telecom launched its 4G service from October 29 in Pokhara and Kathmandu and will be launching in other cities across the nation soon.

It is operating in a frequency of 10 MHz and will be giving internet speeds of above 60 Mbps, as per a media release.

The initial phase will include numerous tests and surveys in order to improve upon their services so that their customers get the best and an errorless experience. Customers of Kathmandu and Pokhara will be able to avail the full-fledged 4G services after a short trial period and then Smart Telecom will be adding Nepalgunj, Chitwan and Birgunj to the list shortly after.

Along with the launch of the 4G services, the company has also launched a range of offers.

The first recharge pack, valid for 90 days, allows customers to get benefits of one paisa per second call to any network, 500MB 4G plus 500 MB free data, 99 free on-net SMS every day and 30 days free WhatsApp and Viber at Rs 99 and customers can use the internet with a range of Smart Cell 4G data packs that include 75MB data at Rs 15 for one day, 500MB data at Rs 85 for seven days, 750MB data at Rs 145 for 15 days and 1GB data at Rs 235 for 30 days.
