Nepali Tara: In search of a singing star

Nepali Tara organised by Samsuung and Studio 7 is now on the second level of its selection rounds from today. Samsung Nepali Tara, the biggest show on Nepali television in a search of a singer is aired on Nepal Television every Saturday at 7:30 pm. With the inception of second round, participants from 53 districts will be exhibiting their musical talents. Annapurna Post is the official media for the event. The second level will be divided into four episodes and out of 206, 40 participants will be selected. Brajesh Khanal, programme director, informed,

“The response has been overwhelming and participants have indeed proved their talent. It’s not only about winning but also about exhibiting their talent and we believe that we have given them a proper platform for that.” Some participants of Samsung Nepali Tara, on the occasion of New Year, performed at Birendra International Convention Centre, which also has helped highlight the competition. Those who fall in the top 10 after the finals will have an opportunity of singing in an album composed by musician Alok Shree. “But apart from these, as we have seen the popularity of Nepali Tara is soaring higher, we assure that there will be more prizes and accolades for the participants,” added Khanal.
