KATHMANDU, AUGUST 14
After a grand success of Tokyo concert, Nepathya, popular folk-rock Nepali band captivated a record number of audiences present at the Fukuoka concert on Saturday.
As the clock hit 7:00pm, the audiences were greeted with Nepathya's much-loved music videos for 'Sa Karnali' and 'Mai mari jaula' on big screens.
After that, the band members stepped on the stage and rocked the show with their smashing hit song 'Koshi ko pani yo jindagani' at the full-house Fukyoka Civic Hall.
As the band played their hit numbers including 'Veda ko unn', 'chekyo chekyo', 'aaganai vari', 'lampate surati', 'chari maryo', and 'sirafula' the audiences swayed and sang with Amrit Gurung, Nepathya vocalist.
After making the audience dance to his tune, Amrit Gurung said, "with the annual exodus of job-seeking Nepalis to abroad for better opportunities, unfortunately Nepali society is heading towards desolation."
He added, earlier, Lahure who set the trend of going abroad for employment, used to bring back sweet song from foreign countries. Subsequently, the band entertained the crowd with the song brought by Gorkha army in India, "Naina taal, ghumi aayo rail,".
By the time, the concert had reached its end, the Nepathya fans were singing and dancing along with Gurung--the concert concluded with the band performing 'Rato Ra Chandra Surya.
"Fukuoka concert has been a massive success," said one of the organizers Prakash Thapa adding that audiences from as far as Hiroshima and Nagoya came to attend the show.
Amrit was accompanied by Dhruba Lama on drums, Suraj Thapa on Keyboards, Subin Shakya on bass, Niraj Gurung on guitars and Shanti Rayamajhi on madal.
The 14-member entourage will move to Osaka City to perform at 'Namba Hatch' on August 17.
