KATHMANDU: The happening episode of the annual festival Jazzmandu — Gokarna Jazz Bazaar was held on November 7 in Gokarna. A group of Gandharva musicians kick started the Bazaar followed by the performance of the winners of Jazz for the Next Generation music competition — Sanjog Sharma and the Forty Fingers Collective. Then the green and refreshing venue experienced an electronic

beats and effects by the Norwegian pianist and live-electronics performer Kjetil Husebo.

Pumping the air further with enigmatic vibes were the Israeli group Katmon Cherry, American guitarist Leni Stern and father/son duo Rabin Lal, and Bijay Lal Shrestha. Then, Cadenza Collective got audience on their feet while Julie Saury Trio gave momentum to their dance.

Towards the end, Banda Magda, and Yaite Ramos La Dame Blanche performed to everyone’s delight. Then it was time for an impromptu jam that witnessed energy and some more music from the Jazzmandu musicians.
