Time to say adios

Time never stops and life never ends. Every year as one batch of students leaves the school, our heart becomes heavy with grief and melancholy as they depart. Those 10 years they spent towards the school are valuable and memorable. For some it was a bitter experience but for some it was a golden decade serving as a stepping-stone to success.

The school organised a Farewell Dinner and Award Ceremony on February 25. The programme started at five with a welcome speech by Mahesh Sajnani. The award ceremony was held with the ‘Dr Amir Thapa Memorial Best Student Award — Class VI’ being presented to Suchi Singh. For the first time in the history of St Xavier’s, a girl won the award. The ‘Parashuram Bhagat Mathe Best Student Award — Class VII’ was awarded to Satyam Khanal.

Ayush Aryal of Class VIII bagged the ‘Minendra Rana memorial Best Student Award — Class VIII’ while the ‘Harvard Book Prize Award — Class IX’ was given to Prajwol Shah. The ‘Ashish Pant Memorial Best student Award — Class XI’ was awarded to Arun Gny-awali. Sailesh Rana got the ‘Ashish Pant Memorial Best Sportsman of the Year — Class Xand Bishrut Sapkota got the ‘GAA Runner-Up Best Student Award — Class X’. Nischal Rijal was awarded as the ‘Godavari Alumni Association Best Student Award — Class X’ for his performance in the past 10 years. School Captain Shabda Adhikari was also presented a Certificate of Recognition. The Silver House was declared the ‘House of the Year’.

Principal Father William Robins, vice principal Nanda Thapa, and activities vice principal Hemant Tamang wished the students weel. A photo session was held which was followed by dinner.
