Several parts of Nepal face the possibility of heavy rainfall today, with the Meteorological Forecasting Division warning of thunderstorms across the hills and strong winds in parts of the Lumbini Tarai.

According to the 24-hour forecast, heavy rain is likely at one or two places in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki, the hill regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali, and the hill and Tarai regions of Sudurpashchim Province.

Moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected at many places in the hill regions and in the Tarai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim. Similar conditions are possible at some places in the Tarai of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki, and at a few places in Madhesh.
