Kathmandu Valley to see cloudy skies with a 40% chance of rainfall
KATHMANDU, AUGUST 15
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has forecast generally cloudy conditions across the hilly regions of Nepal and Sudur Pashchim Province today, with partly cloudy skies expected in other areas. Moderate rain is likely in a few places of Sudur Pashchim and the hilly belts, and at one or two spots in the Terai regions.
Tonight, skies are expected to remain generally cloudy over Koshi Province and the country's hilly regions, while other areas will see partial cloud cover. Moderate rainfall is likely at a few locations in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at isolated spots in remaining hilly and Terai areas.
Meteorologists said the monsoon trough remains south of its normal position, indicating a slightly weakened monsoon over Nepal.
In Kathmandu Valley, today's daytime conditions will be generally cloudy with chances of rain at 40%, with temperatures ranging between 26°C and 28°C. Tonight, the valley will remain mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of rain, and minimum temperatures between 20°C and 22°C.
