3 theft cases reported in Valley

KATHMANDU: Police said that three cases of property crime were reported in the Kathmandu Valley on Thursday.

Gold ornaments worth around Rs 240,000 were stolen from the second floor of a three-storey building in Dallu of KMC-15 on Thursday.

According to a complaint lodged with police, unidentified thieves barged into the house of Yangjel Lama after breaking the bolt of the door and whisked away with various gold ornaments.

Similarly, property worth around Rs 152,000 was stolen from a rented room in Gyneshwor, KMC-33.

Police said that a camera, a watch and various gold ornaments were stolen from the room of Jaswin Shrestha.

The room was unattended when the incident occurred, police informed.

Likewise, gold and silver ornaments worth around Rs 126,000 were stolen from the unattended house of Surendra Manandhar in Imadole of Mahalaxmi Municipality-15, Lalitpur.

According to a complaint lodged with police, unidentified thieves broke into the house after breaking the padlock of the main door and decamped with the valuable goods.

Police said that they are looking into all cases.
