KATHMANDU: Expressing sympathy to the kin of Singha Pratap Gurung, who lost his life in a bomb explosion at Nakkhu on Friday, and the injured, US Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry termed the attack 'senseless'.

"Such violence is criminal, not a "protest" and has no place in a democratic Nepal," Ambassador Berry tweeted.

My heart goes out to the family of the victim, who was killed in the senseless attack this weekend. We wish a full and quick recovery to those who were injured. Such violence is criminal, not a “protest” and has no place in a democratic #Nepal.
