KATHMANDU, MAY 26

Bird flu has been detected in Kathmandu, yet again.

The flu has been detected in three locations of Kathmandu valley -- two points in Kirtipur and one place in Chandragiri.

A technical team has reportedly been deployed to destroy the infected livestock and disinfect the area.

The disease was confirmed after testing the samples obtained from a turkey that recently died all of a sudden, in an unnatural manner.

Detailed information will be made public after the infected poultry have been contained and destroyed, the authorities informed.

Bird flu was last detected in Kathmandu valley in the local poultry farms of Tarkeshwor and Nakkhu a few months ago.
