Chinese Defence Minister Chang Wanquan arrives in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Chinese Defence Minister and State Councilor General Chang Wanquan has arrived in Nepal on a three-day official visit today.

A delegation comprising of 19 members led by Chang was welcomed by Minister for Defence Bal Krishna Khand and Secretary Shridhar Sapkota at the VIP lounge of the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Khand will hold a meeting with Chang in Singhadarbar later today.

The visiting Chinese official is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at 3 pm today before the latter leaves for China tonight.

He is scheduled to meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi, and Chief of Army Staff General Rajendra Chhetri tomorrow.
