CJ hearing begins
KATHMANDU: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee on Thursday issued a five-day notice to common people to file complaints if they have any objection to the appointment of senior most justice of the Supreme Court Min Bahadur
Rayamajhi for the post of Chief Justice.
General Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat, Dr Manohar Prasad Bhattarai, said, “After five days when the complaints are filed, the hearing date will be fixed.”
The Constitutional Council on Wednesday endorsed the recommendation to appoint Rayamajhi for the post of Chief Justice.
The recommendation was forwarded to the Hearing Committee today. If the Hearing Committee approves the recommendation, President Ram Baran Yadav will appoint Rayamajhi for the post of Chief Justice.
