KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 8

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha has instructed the Armed Police Force to use its qualifications and abilities for the good of the country.

At the graduation ceremony of the APF's police inspectors training at the APF Training Academy in Matatirtha, Kathmandu today, DPM Shrestha said the APF should adapt to the changing situations so that it could fulfil the sensitive and serious responsibility of maintaining peace and order and ensuring good-governance.

DPM Shrestha underscored the need to leverage available resources to address the growing security challenges with the advancement of technology. Sharing that he had accorded top priority to capacity enhancement of security personnel, he said he was willing to develop the APF as a special squad. He instructed the newly graduated police inspectors to devote themselves to the service of the country and countrymen even in the face of adversity.

Similarly, APF's Inspector General of Police Raju Aryal pledged to take forward the organisation by strictly following the instructions received from the government. He expressed confidence that the trained human resources would be useful in obtaining the goals of the organisation. In the event, a total of 49 police inspectors, including five females, graduated.

Likewise, Gyanchandra Parajuli, Puskar Bahadur Bom, Eijan Khadka and Roshan Ghimire were feted as the best trainees. The graduate police inspectors were deployed in their respective duty stations from today itself.
