Certificates awarded

KATHMANDU: Subash Smriti Pratisthan, Baneshwore, on Saturday gave away certificates of appreciation to 48 women of Sunthan ward-10, Panauti, for completing a ten-month-long sewing, cutting and knitting training. Chandra Bahadur Thapa, chairperson of Subash Smriti Pratisthan awarded a sewing machine to the best trainee, Rita Sapkota. Hari Sundar Sainju and Man Sagar Shrestha gave away a pair of scissors to other trainees. — HNS

Talent show

KATHMANDU: Fifteen differently able children from five organisations participated in a talent show organised by Hatemalo Sanchar and St Xavier’s College, Social Work Faculty, on Saturday, a statement issued said. Saurav Krishna Shrestha, programme manager of Hatemalo Sanchar, said the differently able children need a platform to exhibit their talent and they should be given continuity. — HNS

Palace renovation on

BHAKTAPUR: The renovation of the 55-window Palace in Bhaktapur, a model of medieval Nepali architecture, is in the final stage. The work had begun about three years ago following an agreement with the Department of Archaeology and the Bhaktapur Municipality. — RSS
