KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 3

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea (RoK) in Nepal hosted the 2024 K-Culture Performance in Kathmandu on Wednesday, 2nd October, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Nepal. The event, which featured a unique fusion of Korea's traditional dance and drum music with high-tech media, captivated a diverse audience of Korean and Nepali attendees.

"In celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Nepal, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal is proud to present a dynamic cultural performance that combines Korea's traditional dance and drum music with cutting-edge high-tech media, the statement issued by the embassy.

The performance, led by the renowned SDG Crew from Korea, showcased the vibrant energy of traditional Korean dance forms, accompanied by the powerful beats of traditional drums. What made the performance particularly memorable was the integration of cutting-edge technology, including state-of-the-art projections, lighting, and sound design, which created an immersive experience.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dev Raj Ghimire, was present at the event and delivered welcome remarks, emphasizing the broad scope of Nepal-Korea relations, which span tourism, trade, investment, energy, agriculture, health, climate issues, and culture. He congratulated the people of both countries on the milestone of five decades of friendship and cooperation.
