KATHMANDU, AUGUST 25

Coinciding with the golden jubilee celebration, Nepal Academy of Tourism & Hotel Management (NATHM) is organizing the first national tourism conclave, first of its' kind in Nepal, in September.

The three-day event will be held at the Multipurpose Hall in the premises of NATHM slated to begin on September 6, 2022.

Damber Raj Bhatta, one of the event organizer, said national as well as international personalities will participate in the event.

"The conclave will provide a common platform for everyone involved in tourism and hospitality to share their ideas, knowledge, experience and learn from the industry across the globe," Bhatta said adding the event will have nine technical sessions, including three experience sharing sessions, cultural performances, exchange of innovate ideas among others.

Binod Aryal, BHM Program Co-Ordinator, said, "This type of event will be a boon for students to learn from the experiences shared by the prominent personalities."

Key note speakers including Dr Yana Wengel, Hainan University China, Professor Eugenia Wickens, Buckinghamshire New University, UK, Professor. Dr Dirk Reiser, Rhine Waal University of Applied Science, Germany will grace the event.

Indian Professors Dr. Sudhir Andrews, a well-known hospitality educator and writer and Prof. Dr. Nimit Chowdhary, Professor of Tourism at Jamia Milia Islamia will speak in the event.

Likewise, Professor Dr Ramesh Raj Kunwar will be one of the key note speaker of the event.

The event is initiated by student council of NATHM in coordination with the college administration.
