KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 25

Nepali Congress Vice-president Bimalendra Nidhi has said that his party will play a responsible role in the Parliament.

Inaugurating the newly-constructed building of Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Memorial Hospital and unveiling the late leader's statue here today, the NC leader stated that NC's role will be for democracy, constitution and people.

"Both the conflicting sides of the Nepal Communist Party are looking for NC's support for the formation of a new government after restoration of House ordered by the Supreme Court. NC will take appropriate decision in the Parliament itself," according to Nidhi.

Likewise, NC leader and former minister Ananda Prasad Dhungana said that late Nidhi was a personality with deep trust in changes brought about by peace and non-violent means.

Also speaking at the programme, NC central committee member Gagan Kumar Thapa asked the hospital's officials to ensure quality health care service at low cost and make its services nationwide.

Dinbandhu Pokhrel, former minister Shanker Prasad Koirala, lawmakers Jip Tshiring Lama and Umesh Shrestha, and other speakers shared their views on the hospital's services.

The 100-bed hospital has planned to expand its services to all the seven provinces across the country in future.
