Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has described Nepal–India relations as historic, close, and rooted in cooperation, emphasizing the need for further strengthening.
She made these remarks while addressing a program organized by the Indian Embassy in Nepal to mark the 79th Independence Day of India. "India is a good friend of Nepal," she said, reflecting on the longstanding multidimensional ties between the two nations.
The Minister lauded India's remarkable journey of economic development and expressed confidence that both countries would deepen collaboration in trade, technology, infrastructure, and in meeting public aspirations. "Nepal–India relations are not only defined by geographical proximity, but are also reinforced by ancient wisdom, shared culture, and enduring people-to-people connections," she noted.
She further stressed that cooperation between the two countries is essential to address shared challenges such as climate change and to achieve sustainable development.
