KATHMANDU, JUNE 1

A total of 14,057 students have passed the scholarship selection examination conducted by Kathmandu Metropolitan City for admission to Grades 11 and 12 in institutional schools under the metropolis for the academic session 2083/84.

According to the Scholarship Examination Committee, students securing at least 40 marks have been included in the preliminary merit list published today.

Education Officer and Examination Committee Coordinator Namraj Dhakal said the published result is preliminary and students dissatisfied with the outcome can apply for re-evaluation by June 3 during office hours.

Applicants can view, download and print their scorecards through the online application portal using their roll number, date of birth and password received via mobile or email.

The final merit list will be published after the re-evaluation process, following which student nomination and school matching procedures will begin.

According to Dhakal, the highest scorer obtained 92 marks, while another student secured 91 marks. Five students scored 90 marks.

Students seeking re-evaluation must submit an application to the Education Department along with a copy of the admit card and a Rs 1,000 fee by June 3.

The metropolis had announced the scholarship programme on April 16. The examination was conducted at 83 centres.

Of the 26,888 students who applied online, applications of 26,603 were approved, while 22,020 students appeared for the examination.
