Pahiko area consumers’ committee, youth club hold social gathering in Naya Bazar

KATHMANDU: Sorhakhutte Pahiko Area Consumers’ Committee (SPACC) and Pahiko Youth Club today jointly organised a social gathering to bring all the locals together in Naya Bazar, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16.

KMC-16 ward chair Mukunda Rijal, members of security agency, Mahila Samuha (Women's group), SPACC members, the club members and local residents among other members of civil society participated in the social gathering at Phalphul Chok this morning. Introduction programme and tea reception were held in the programme.

The SPACC president and Unified Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Rastrabadi (URPP-R) General Secretary Bharat Jung Upreti, said that programme was organised with the objective to extend social interactions among people living in the locality.

President Upreti was of the view that such social gathering was a must for maintaining peace and security by establishing a close rapport among various communities dwelling in the area.

Likewise, all the members of the SPACC and the youth club committed to working hand in hand to maintain peace and security in the area.

The SPACC has been functioning in KMC-16 and 17 for about a decade.
