Nepal Police have intensified security measures in Kathmandu Valley as two separate mass rallies are taking place today.

According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Dinesh Kumar Acharya, spokesperson for Nepal Police Headquarters, security has been reinforced in areas where the rallies and protest gatherings are scheduled. A significant number of security personnel have been deployed along major routes of the Valley, while additional forces remain on standby to prevent any untoward incidents.

The Socialist Front Nepal is holding a warning assembly at Exhibition Road in support of the republic, whereas a pro-monarchy group is organizing a rally and mass assembly at Tinkune.

Supporters from both sides have begun gathering at their designated locations, marching from different parts of the Valley. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to maintain public order.
