KATHMANDU: The 21-member team on Thursday left for India to participate in the South Asian Women’s Handball Championship slated for March 31 to April 3 in Lucknow. The team included 14 players and seven officials. Manju Raut, Bishna Bogati, Shanti Kala Rai, Dev Kumari Banskota, Durga Bohara, Kalpana Oli, Umar Rai, Bandana Rai, Parbati Chaudhary, Kabita Rai, Aitalamu Sherpa, Sangita Chaudhary, Jina Rai and Nisha Rai are the players in the team. Team manager Ram Krishna KC, coaches Arun Lal Karnand Ramesh Sapkota, officials Ratna Jyot Manandhar and Saj Kumar Ale, and referees Prakash Sunuwar and Ranjana Rai accompanied the players to India. Youth and Sports Minister Jagat Bahadur Sunar and National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista bade farewell to the team.
