KATHMANDU, MAY 8
To commemorate its 20th anniversary, Publication Nepalaya is set to host a two-day book fair offering exclusive discounts and interactive sessions with authors.
In a statement issued today, Nepalaya announced that the fair will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Baisakh 27 and 28 (May 11–12), at its Kalikasthan premises. The event will feature discounts of up to 60 percent on all Nepalaya titles. Highlights will include meet-and-greet sessions with authors and book signings.
The fair will officially open with the launch of Kasto Chha Timilai, Yo Man Sodhirahanchha, the fifth book by writer Jeevan Kumar Prasai. The unveiling ceremony is scheduled for 9:00 AM on Saturday at the event venue.
According to Nepalaya, the primary aim of the fair is to provide readers with a unique opportunity to purchase its publications under one roof at discounted prices while also engaging directly with their favorite authors.
"Our debut title, Palpasa Café, was met with overwhelming appreciation from readers," said Saijan Maskey, CEO of Publication Nepalaya. "As a gesture of gratitude for two decades of support, we are organizing this fair at our own premises to offer readers a meaningful and memorable literary experience."
Maskey further noted that more than 30 authors associated with Nepalaya will be present during the event.
The fair will conclude with a poetry recital.
For the past three years, Nepalaya has been curating and presenting a weekly poetry series titled E-Kavita. These audio poems are available to listeners through a paid subscription on www.thuprai.com, the statement added.
