RAUTAHAT, SEPTEMBER 2

Two CPN-UML PA members representing Rautahat have joined CPN(Unified Socialist) in Province 2. A total of 10 CPN-UML PA members have joined the new party in the province so far.

The PA members joining the Madhav Nepal-led party from Rautahat are Nagendra Yadav, who was elected from Rautahat Constituency-3 (B) and proportional PA member Hasima Khatun. They declared they wanted to join the Nepal-led party by presenting themselves at the Province Election Office in Janakpur today. Besides, UML PA members Shatrughan Mahato, Govind Neupane, Pramod Yadav, Ashok Kumar Yadav, Manju Kumari Yadav, Bechi Lungeli, Rabindra Baitha, and Manoj Sen Shreevastav have also chosen to enter CPN(US).

Another PA member Dilli Upreti is said to undergoing treatment in New Delhi of India and is learnt to be preparing to declare that he will be joining of the Nepal-led party soon through the embassy.

The province has 21 UML PA members. "Rather than UML, it's our party CPN(US) that's in stronger position in Province 2, and the party is likely to grow stronger in the days to come as Nepal is more popular here than KP Oli," said youth leader Shambhu Sah.
