Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 768,295 on Saturday with 1,024 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 725,651 with 2,195 discharges logged today.

On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 10,818 with nine more fatalities

.As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, 9,875 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 6,753 were PCR tests while 3,122 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 3,952,942 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 244 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 1,268.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 94.5%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.5%. The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 31,826.

Currently, there are 274 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

In the same time frame, 289 infections were reported in the capital city while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur reported 53 and 44 cases respectively.

On Friday, Nepal's coronavirus caseload had reached 767,271 with 1,357 people testing positive for the infection.

Globally, over 220 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.5 million people have lost their lives to the disease.

Likewise, over 197 million people have recovered while more than 18 million cases are still active.
