Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 606,778 on Saturday with 2,382 more people testing positive for the infection.
Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries stood at 527,111 with 6,295 discharges recorded today.
In the past 24 hours, 61 more Covid-related fatalities were logged which took the total death toll to 8,366.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, 14,494 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 8,506 were PCR tests while 5,988 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 3,207,208 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.
Meanwhile, antigen tests have confirmed 1,002 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests add up to 3,384.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate climbed to 86.9 % on Saturday, as compared to 86.2 % on Friday. On the other hand the fatality rate stands at 1.6 %.
The country's active Covid-19 case count has dropped to 71,301 with daily recoveries exceeding daily infections.
In the same time frame, 391 infections were reported in the capital city while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur reported 130 and 77 cases respectively.
There are 552 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
So far, a total of 3,074,592 people have received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 2,383,098 have received the first dose while only 691,494 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
On Friday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 604,396 with 2,709 more people testing positive for the infection.
Globally, over 176 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 3.8 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 159 million people have recovered while more than 12 million cases are still active.
