KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 28

Adverse weather condition slightly impacted the flight schedule at Tribhuvan International Airport today.

Low visibility caused by thick mist in Kathmandu's sky since the morning slightly affected the flights to and from TIA, according to TIA General Manager Bhola Prasad Guragain.

Only IFR flights towards the domestic service took place.

Though the adverse weather had affected international flights in the morning, they are operating as scheduled now.

Earlier, a flight operated by the Ethiopian Airlines from New Delhi of India was diverted.

Now TIA measures visibility up to 3,000 metres.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, the country has witnesses the impact of westerly low pressure system.

Today, there is possibility of light to moderate rain at many places of the country.

There are also chances of light to moderate snowfall at many places in the high mountainous region.

Likewise, light to moderate rain is likely to occur at many places of the country tonight.

Today, the minimum temperature of the country was measured at 3 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature was measured at 17 degrees Celsius.
