BHAIRAHAWA: Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Paudel on Tuesday said that the 11-point agreement the government signed with CK Raut was an attack on national integrity and unity.

Speaking at a press meet organised by Rupandehi Press Union in Butwal, Paudel argued that the agreement would not bring the secessionist agitation to a halt and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was being misled.

He flayed his party president and spokesperson for airing the party’s views without going through the agreement in detail. “I have been voicing my disagreement from the beginning. But, I was taken aback when the party president and the spokesperson welcomed the deal,” he stated. Poudel demanded that the government thoroughly investigate the wide body aircraft purchase scam.

He asked the government to bring Netra Bikram Chand and his group to mainstream politics at the earliest.
