Bhojpur mourns pilot Gurung’s death

Bhojpur, May 30

People of Bhojpur mourned the untimely demise of Colonel pilot Kailash Gurung, who died in a Nepali Army cargo aircraft crash at Kolti Airport in Bajura today afternoon.

As two efficient pilots of the district died in two separate aircraft accidents in the past four days, they were deeply saddened.

Senior pilot Parash Kumar Rai of Sangpang was killed when Goma Air cargo aircraft crashed at Lukla Airport in Solukhumbu on Saturday.

Late Gurung, born in then Chhinamakhu VDC, was a renowned literary figure and song writer. He has written several songs about the bravery and dignity of Nepali Army personnel. Gurung completed his school education from Annapurna Secondary School in the district.
