Biplav-led CPN cadre injured in police firing dies at BHPKIHS


BHOJPUR: A cadre of Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), Tirthraj Ghimire, who was injured in police firing on Tuesday in Bhojpur has died in course of treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in the wee hours today.

It has been reported that the injured CPN cadre died in the hospital at around 3:00 am today.

Ghimire was shot on his leg in a police firing as he brandished weapons at the police in Dhodlekhani Khola forest in Tyamke Maiyum Rural Municipality yesterday.

Acting on the tip-off that CPN cadres had been hiding in the forest, Bhojpur District Police Office had deployed a team to apprehend them.

The police team have seized a pistol, five bullets, a binocular, four detonators, explosive materials, brochures and pamphlets of the party from the possession of Ghimire.
