Curfew clamped in Bhardaha

LAHAN: The local administration has clamped curfew in Bhardaha area from 4 pm today in view of possibility of further clashes after a demonstrator was killed in course of the agitation this morning.

A meeting of the District Security Committee decided to enforce curfew from 4 pm today until 5 am Wednesday.

The curfew will be effective within the area 500 metres from the Kankalini Temple in the east, 500 metres from the Bhardaha Tempo Stand in the west, the Portaha VDC building to the north and 300 metres from the Sakhardahi irrigation canal bridge to the south, according to the Chief District Officer, Birendra Yadav.
