DPMs' China, India visits inappropriate: Narayan Khadka

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Dr Narayan Khadka has criticised the Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led coalition government's decision to send two Deputy Prime Ministers to China and India with invitation to their presidents for Nepal visit.

Speaking at an interaction with media in Bhaktapur today, the former minister pointed out the need for appointment of Foreign Minister and making the diplomatic channel stronger.

Sending two leaders of different parties to the neighbouring countries at the same time would not deliver positive message, he argued.

Deputy Prime Minister from Nepali Congress (Bimalendra Nidhi) going to New Delhi to invite Indian President and Deputy Prime Minister from Maoist party (Krishna Bahadur Mahara) not only looks like a competition but also delivers bad message also, he said.
