Property worth millions of rupees was destroyed after a fire spread in Rautahat.

Valuable materials turned into ashes after the fire spread from Riddhi Siddhi Ply Board Industry due to electric short-circuit at Madhavnarayan Municipality in Rautahat last night.

According to District Police Office, Rautahat, physical property was destroyed extensively in the blaze.

However, no human casualty has been reported yet. Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepali Army, locals and fire engines from Gaur Municipality had brought the fire under control after four hours. Two generators worth Rs 2 million each, face veneer and core veneer worth Rs 6.3 million, firewood worth Rs 50,000 and a house worth Rs 25 million were destroyed.

Police said more destruction had taken place due to lack of timely information to the police.

Similarly, a poultry farm operated by Munif Miya at Gaur Municipality was destroyed after a fire spread in Munifi Poultry Farm at Sobarnamai of the municipality last night. Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and locals had brought the fire under control after an hour.

Police said property worth more than 2.3 million rupees was destroyed in the blaze.
