NEPALGUNJ, NOVEMBER 28

Five persons died while 27 others sustained injuries after the passenger bus they were travelling on fell below the road in Bheri Municipality of Jajarkot on Sunday morning.

According to police, the incident occurred when the bus (Na 6 Kha 2757), en route to West Rukum from Nepalgunj, lost control and skidded off the road and fell some 150 metres below the road near Kutu Baraha Chowk, killing five on the spot.

The bus had 32 passengers on board at the time of the incident, informed Deputy Superintendet of Police (DSP) Madhu Kumar Thapa.

DSP Thapa stated that police rescued the injured and brought them to the District Hospital in Jajarkot, using their own vehicles and other buses.
