Fresh quake in Panchthar, aftershock in Kavre
KATHMANDU: The National Seismological Centre recorded a magnitude 4.6 earthquake with the epicentre in Panchthar district of east Nepal, on Friday afternoon.
The quake had hit the area at 4:22 pm (10:37 am UTC time) today, according to the NSC.
Meanwhile, aftershocks of the April 25 magnitude 7.6 earthquake continued even after seven months.
The NSC recorded the fresh aftershock of magnitude 4.1 at 3:23 pm today with the epicentre in Banepa of Kavrepalanchok district.
It was the 418th aftershock measuring magnitude 4 or above since the devastating quake on April 25.
