Govt not serious: JTMM

Biratnagar, March 19:

President of the Jwala Singh-led Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morch (JTMM) today accused the government of not being serious about resolving the Tarai problem.

Talking on the telephone with the Rastriya Samachar Samiti, he said though the call for talks to resolve the problems of the Tarai is a positive step, the dialogue could not be held, as the government is not honest.

He said though his outfit declared a ceasefire, the government did not create a conducive environment for talks by ignoring the need to withdraw cases against its leaders and activists and to form a high level commission to investigate into the death of Dev Narayan, Binaya Mahato, Rajkumar Mishra and Ajaya Yadav during the Tarai movement.
