Headmaster refuses to admit eligible student

ITAHARI: Laxman Yadav, headmaster, Koshi High School in Sunsari's Paschim Kusaha, has denied admission to an eligible candidate in the school.

Flouting the directive of Sunsari District Education Office (DEO) and District Administration Office (DAO), Yadav refused to admit Dilip Kumar Yadav, who passed Grade 8 from Saptari's Rajendra Debaki Lower Secondary School, in Grade 9.

Dilip Kumar has knocked on the DEO, which ordered the school to admit him. The DAO also followed suit. Rights activists and mediapersons have also been urged to help guarantee the child's rights.

Ram Narayan Yadav, Dilip's guardian, said the headmaster had not taken in the child due to the family ego. Meanwhile, a team comprising rights activists, mediapersons, intellectuals and government officials is set to visit the school.
