PALPA: As many as 501 locals of Darlam Danda VDC in Palpa received free medical treatment from a visiting medical team.

A medical team consisting 20 members and led by renowned cardiologist Dr Bhagawan Koirala had reached the VDC o Friday to provide free treatment to the villagers.

Heart-patient Govinda Basyal of Barangdi-8 in the district is one among the 501 patients who is elated to get his heart checked up by Dr Koirala.

Various services related to cardiology, including echocardiogram and electrocardiogram, and general medicines were provided during the health camp, according to local and publicity coordinator Bhagawan Bhandari.

The camp was set up by the District Public Health Office, Darlam Danda Health Post, Lumbini Medical College, Manmohan Cardiac Centre and Tribhuvan University and Darlam Danda Higher Secondary School.
