Locals today closed the Indrawati III Hydro-electricity Project for ignoring their demands.

Locals of Jyamire, Langarche and Banskharka VDCs, affected by the project let water flow through the dam and disrupted generation of electricity. Locals had submitted a 15-point charter of demands to the project last week.

Their demands include electrification of the local areas, providing compensation for their land and providing an ambulance to the affected areas.
