The office of Koiladi Rural Municipality was padlocked by Deputy Chair Suchita Kumari Yadav last Thursday in Saptari.

Deputy Chair Yadav padlocked the rural municipality office for the fourth time saying that the local level chair and office employees had curtailed her rights and deprived her of information. The padlock has affected services at the rural municipality.

Yadav padlocked planning section and office of the chief administrative officer. She accused the rural municipality of curtailing her rights, bypassing her while taking important decisions and ignoring her calls for information.

Yadav said she was forced to padlock the office as the rural municipality had failed to execute the agreements signed in the presence of District Coordination Committee Chief Prabhakar Yadav earlier.

Meanwhile, rural municipality Chair Satish Kumar Singh claimed that the deputy chair's rights were not curbed, and information was provided when she sought it. Singh accused the vice-chair of trying to defame him as the local poll was approaching. Singh and Yadav both were elected from Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal.
