KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 3
The Meteorological Forecasting Division issued a special weather bulletin on Tuesday informing that western low pressure system developing around Pakistan and its surrounding areas will enter the country starting Thursday.
This system will change the present weather to partly to generally cloudy and bring light to medium snowfall in few places in high hilly and mountainous region of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Gandaki Provinces, along with little drizzling and rain in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Lumbini Provinces.
Following Thursday's weather system, on Friday, weather of Province 2 and most of the remaining provinces will change to lightly to completely cloudy.
MFD has stated the possibility of snowfall in some places of high hilly and mountainous region of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Gandaki, Bagmati Provinces and Province 1 due to this weather system, and little drizzling and rain in mountainous region of the same areas.
The system will continue to affect Gandaki, Bagmati, Province 1 and 2 on Saturday as well, bringing in partial to general cloudy weather, with light rain in Province 1 and light snowfall in mountainous region in the area.
Weather is expected to gradually start clearing starting Saturday night. MFD has requested people to take caution during this period of change in weather.
