ILAM: A girl died after lightning struck her at Mahamai in Ilam district on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Yenisha Limbu (14) of Mahamai-6, informed the Ilam District Police office.

Police Inspector Rudra Chudal of the DPO said that Limbu died on the spot in the incident.

The incident took place when Limbu was returning home from the farm, police added.
